Profile

Sarah Madru (she/her) has enjoyed a career in the arts focused on music and community. She joined VCFA in 2011 and spent many years with the MFA in Music Composition program and the Admissions department before transitioning to work with the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Before coming to VCFA, she worked with the Green Mountain Youth Symphony, the League of American Orchestras, and the Brooklyn Music School. She holds a BA in Anthropology from Vassar College and an MA in Performing Arts Administration from New York University.

Sarah lives in Montpelier with her two children, two cats, and a dog named Saffron. When not walking the highways and byways or hiking the local mountains, you can find her baking, reading, reacquainting herself with her clarinet, or playing whistle in a Celtic punk band.
