Charles Bunting (Shelburne, VT) is a Consulting Partner (retired) with Storbeck Search, an executive search firm in higher education.

Chuck and his family moved to Vermont in 1985, and he worked as Chancellor of the Vermont State Colleges for the next fifteen years. Prior to completing a doctorate in education, he also taught at a historically Black college in Alabama and in the Boston Public Schools.

In recent years, he served as a trustee or chair on the governing boards of Hampton University, United Educators, and the Visiting Nurses Association of Chittenden/Grand Isle Counties. As Chancellor, he served on state boards and commissions addressing issues such as school finance, workforce education, and corrections reform. He also chaired the national association of state higher education officers and served on the boards of several other national organizations in education.
