Profile

Jen Breach (they/them) is the author of around thirty nonfiction books for children on everything from the politics of global foodways and LGBTQ+ families to animal sanctuaries and international protest movements. They also wrote the “Riley Reynolds” chapter book fiction series, featuring the first nonbinary main character for the age group.

As a nonbinary person, Jen’s writing is preoccupied with spectrums of meaning, and always seeks to discover exactly how many data points it takes to tell the whole story.
Jen was born and raised in a tiny town in rural Australia where they kept a rescue duck, and now lives, works, and writes in a tiny rowhouse in South Philly, sadly duck-free.
