Profile

Katie Rasmussen (she/her) is the Dean of Students at VCFA. She ensures that resources, policies, and processes within the College support student success, from IT support to disability services to oversight of our summer and winter residencies.

Prior to taking the role of Dean, Katie was the Program Director of the WCYA program for five years. Before that, she worked for fifteen years at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC in science teacher preparation and professional development. She holds a BA in Anthropology from Yale University and a MSEd in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College’s Marxe School of Public and International Affairs.

Katie lives in Vermont where she enjoys being an indoor kid. Her favorite pastimes include experimenting in the kitchen, singing with local choirs, traveling (with an eye toward history museums), and curling up with a cup of hot tea and a good book.
