Katrine has dedicated her career to the arts.

She began teaching visual art at a magnet school for the arts in inner-city Atlanta before making her way to the Savannah College of Art and Design where she led campus recruitment efforts on all 3 SCAD campuses, Savannah, Atlanta and Hong Kong. While serving as the inaugural Assistant Dean for Admissions for the College of Fine + Applied Arts at the University of Illinois, Katrine created the Art Educator Micro-Residency, led the entry and participation of a student cross-disciplinary team to EXPO Chicago and was selected for the competitive Inclusive Illinois Emerging Woman Leader award.

Katrine received a bachelor’s degree in Studio Art with an emphasis in painting from City University of New York and a master’s degree in Teaching Art from SUNY Oswego.

Originally from New York City, Katrine now resides in Atlanta, GA. She enjoys painting whimsical illustrations, thrifting vintage fashion, and collecting colorful eyewear.
