PoemCity 2017 hosts MFA in Writing faculty and alumna poets on April 8

MFA in Writing faculty member Cynthia Huntington and alumna April Ossmann ('95) will read from their new poetry collections on Saturday, April 8, at 6 p.m. at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier as part of the 2017 PoemCity event.

PoemCityHuntington, a Guggenheim Fellow in Poetry and 2012 National Book Award finalist, will read from her fifth book of poetry, Terra Nova (Southern Illinois Univ. Press, 2017). In addition to teaching at VCFA, she holds the Frederick Sessions Beebe Chair in Writing at Dartmouth College.

Ossmann will read from her second book, Event Boundaries (Four Way Books, 2017). She has published her poetry widely in journals and anthologies, owns a poetry consulting business, and is faculty editor for the MFA in Creative Writing Program at Sierra Nevada College.
