Announcing 'HERE', the Zine Uniting Multiple Voices

The faculty and staff of the MFA in Visual Art Vermont College of Fine Arts are eager to announce the first issue of the semi-annual ‘zine titled HERE.

HERE, the MFA in Visual Art 'zineIt is the hope of HERE's creators that the 'zine brings together conversations within and across the multiple "heres" in which artists and educators transform their lives, particularly in the setting of low-residency structure of Vermont College of Fine Arts.

Each issue of HERE will have a regional focus, as well as offering contributors a theme or set of questions to consider as possible frameworks.  The premiere issue of HERE focuses on the Southwest, or, in international terms, La Frontera - the borderlands. The additional theme for the premiere issue is “Slowness.”

Contributors to HERE are members of the MFA in Visual Art community, including students, faculty, alumni and Artist-Teachers

It's particularly exciting for the program to work with Jason Alejandro, a student in the MFA in Graphic Design program at VCFA, as the designer for this issue.
