Long and OzahowskiNovember 12 at 5:30pm, MFA in Writing & Publishing students will once again take the stage at the Hunger Mountain Coop’s Cafe.

Community members are welcome to share their own writing  during the night’s open mic portion, and all participants will be treated to a coupon for the coop’s hot bar.

This is a family friendly event, free and open to the public. Please bear this in mind while selecting work to share! Both poetry and prose are welcome.

About the Featured Readers:

Kelsi Long is an MFA candidate in the Writing & Publishing program at VCFA.  She is the associate poetry editor for Mud Season Review, the online literary magazine of the Burlington Writers Workshop, and an assistant creative nonfiction editor at Hunger Mountain. Her poems have appeared in Scribendi and Metrosphere, and she has performed at literary salons, open mics, and poetry slams all over the Denver Metro Area, where she was born and raised.

Davey Ozahowski is enjoying his pursuit of an MFA at the Vermont College of Fine Arts. He loves his friends and family, skiing, biking, rowing, shaping land, reading, history, people, Nature and trying to find the wonders of each waking day. He feels most enlightened when helping others experience and share the joys, laughter, struggles and beauty of life.
