Ceredwyn Bagley used to be called Kathleen Bagley (and is still known by her pseudonym, Kate Pentecost) but noticed that there were an inordinate amount of Kathleens among the lists of victims of serial killers, despite that being a fairly uncommon name, and decided that that wasn’t acceptable. She changed her name and has been guiding people in pronunciation ever since.

She has an MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults from VCFA (Winter 2014—a MAGIC IF!) and is represented by Sara Crowe of Pippin Properties. She has two young adult fantasy books out under the pseudonym Kate Pentecost: Elysium Girls and That Dark Infinity. She lives in Houston with her dog, Stevie Nyx, and her partner.
