Douglas Glover has been called “a master of narrative structure” (Wall Street Journal). His latest book is a collection of short stories, Savage Love. He has published six books of short stories, four novels, two essay collections and The Enamoured Knight, a book about Cervantes and novel form.

His novel Elle won the 2003 Governor-General’s Award for Fiction and was a finalist for the IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. In 2007 he received the Writers' Trust Timothy Findley Award. His stories have been frequently anthologized, notably in The Best American Short Stories, Best Canadian Stories, and The New Oxford Book of Canadian Stories. His criticism has appeared in the Globe and Mail, The New York Times Book Review, Washington Post Book World, Boston Globe Books, and the Los Angeles Times. From 1996 to 2006 he was the editor of the annual collection Best Canadian Stories. In 2010 he founded the online magazine Numéro Cinq. His books are available online at the Numéro Cinq Bookstore.
