VCFA is pleased to announce Julianna Baggott, a critically acclaimed author, has been named Faculty Director for the MFA in Writing & Publishing program. Baggott is also an experienced educator.

Hunger Mountain is pleased to announce the 2017 contest judges, and to extend the deadline for entries by one week.

Vermont College of Fine Arts announces judges for Third Annual Vermont Book Award

Vermont College of Fine Arts has chosen eight Vermont writers and readers to be the 2017 Vermont Book Award judges. The judges, each with expertise in one of four genres, are Emily Bernard, Amanda Coplin, Chard deNiord, Grace Greene, Beth McCabe, Kerrin McCadden, Janice Obuchowski, and Tanya Lee Stone.

Sean Prentiss wins Utah Book Award; new anthology out Nov. 17

MFA in Writing & Publishing faculty member Sean Prentiss recently won the Utah Book Award in the nonfiction category.

VCFA launches Emerging Writer Scholarship for residential MFA in Writing & Publishing program

The Vermont College of Fine Arts (VCFA) MFA in Writing & Publishing is offering a full tuition scholarship for the next school year beginning in Fall 2017. The new Emerging Writer Scholarship will cover all two years of the program, as well as housing at VCFA’s campus.
