Shawn Wong is the author of two novels, Homebase and American Knees, the latter of which was adapted into the feature film, AMERICANESE (2006), directed by Eric Byler. He edited or co-edited anthologies including the landmark Aiiieeeee! An Anthology of Asian-American Writers, The Big Aiiieeeee! The History of Chinese American and Japanese American Literature, Asian American Literature: A Brief Introduction and Anthology, Asian Diasporas, Cultures, Identities, Representations, The Before Columbus Foundation Fiction Anthology, and The Before Columbus Foundation Poetry Anthology.

Wong is a professor of English and Cinema & Media Studies at the University of Washington in Seattle.
