Lana Soufeh is an independent Jordanian graphic and type designer currently based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to advocating for women’s empowerment and preserving cultural identity through the mediums of type and design. While her creative projects typically encompass printed matter, books, and editorials, Lana is currently directing her attention towards Arabic-type design production and research. Lana’s artistic journey involves exploring how technology can overcome challenges in Arabic script. She pushes boundaries and confronts limitations to expand Arabic type design possibilities. Her goal is to improve Arabic typography visually and contribute to cultural preservation and representation.
