Profile

As part of her talk multidisciplinary artist Daisy Quezada Urena, a United States Lantinx Artist Fellow, will be sharing works and projects that thematically connect her identity and place of upbringing to social structures that span the US and Mexico border. Within her practice she creates ceramic works, installations, artist books and facilitates community projects. Through these direct relationships are formed to immigration, gender inequality, labor and class issues that have continually resulted in a population that has been devalued.
