Amanda Maciel has worked in children’s publishing for more than 20 years and is currently an editorial director at Scholastic Press. Her list focuses on commercial fiction for middle-grade and YA readers and includes the #1 New York Times and USA Today bestselling Wings of Fire series by Tui Sutherland; the graphic novels of Molly Knox Ostertag, including the bestselling Witch Boy trilogy, The Girl from the Sea, and the forthcoming The Deep Dark; and the bestselling and award-winning Front Desk series by Kelly Yang. She has published two YA novels with Balzer + Bray, Tease and Lucky Girl, and spends her free time running in Prospect Park and watching Bob’s Burgers with her husband and son.
