VCFA is a 2025 GDUSA Top Graphic Design School
Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) honors VCFA and its MFA in Graphic Design as a 2025 top design school and program.
As one of the leading graphic design publications in the country, GDUSA annually selects and uplifts the undergraduate and graduate institutions pushing the boundaries of design education. “These institutions don’t just teach design,” writes GDUSA of their list, “they nurture talent, expand minds, and prepare the next generation of creatives for impactful careers in the real world.”
GDUSA has annually included VCFA’s MFA in Graphic Design in their Top Design Schools listing since 2017. VCFA has been selected year after year for its unique position as the only institution solely dedicated to graduate arts education through the low-residency mentorship model, for its incredible roster of faculty, and for its passionate community.
In addition to recognizing the school as a whole, GDUSA regularly recognizes individual VCFA students in their yearly “Students to Watch” listing. In 2025, GDUSA named VCFA’s Tim Murray (GD ’24), Jewell Melisa T. Morton (GD ’25), and Fernando Del Rosario (GD ’26) as “Students to Watch.”
VCFA and the entire MFA in Graphic Design community are grateful to GDUSA for this recognition. This honor could not be achieved without our staff, faculty, students, alumnx, and friends of VCFA that continue to support the work and exploration of the MFA in Graphic Design program.
