Student Combines Love of Poetry and Fashion
4th semester poetry student Jacqueline Braswell was in her glory during the MFA in Writing Slovenia residency this summer, when she met one of Slovenia’s top fashion designers, Urska Draz, in her studio.
The dream meeting (that included four hours of conversation) came together after the residency’s author/tour guide, Istok Osojnik, introduced Jacqueline to Slovene poet, fashionista, and radio broadcaster Ana Garafol. “These connections and meetings were indispensable to me since I completed my critical thesis in Poetry and Fashion, and now I am looking to merge these topics into my future writing career,” said Jacqueline.
