The selection recognizes “…graphic design schools and programs that excel in teaching the hard and soft skills necessary for success, in nurturing talent and expanding minds, and in preparing the next generation of creatives for a dream career in the real world.”

The VCFA MFA in Graphic Design has been recognized as a Top Design School by GDUSA annually since 2017 for qualities such as its faculty composed of industry professionals, its commitment to the mentorship model, and its low-residency approach to graduate education. Year after year, VCFA’s students have additionally been recognized by GDUSA as GDUSA Graphic Design Students to Watch, with (now VCFA alumnx) Chris Lange (GD ‘24) and Leah Chutz (GD ‘24) honored in the early months of 2024.

VCFA and the MFA in Graphic Design program are deeply thankful to receive this esteemed recognition. The college and the program would like to thank the staff, faculty, students, alumnx, and friends of VCFA that inspire and connect our community of artists.
