Our MFA in Visual Art program has debuted a new blog focusing on graduate work and faculty art. Titled “Visual Ark,” the blog takes its nickname for Alumnx Hall, the newly renovated exhibition space that houses all incoming and returning student work for the visual art program. It is also a reference to the arc, the transformation our graduate students’ work goes through during their time in the program.

The blog stemmed from a desire to showcase guest artists, students, alumnx, and faculty work, which is as diverse as our student body, faculty, and artists we invite to come to the residencies twice per year.

The blog is an ongoing project. Each semester’s graduates will have a gallery of their thesis show. We will continue building faculty portfolio features, as well as, guest artists and alumnx interviews.
