The MFA in Music Composition program will hold its winter 2024 residency on the campus of Susquehanna University, January 5-13. Multiple events featuring music written by VCFA students, which will be performed by world-class musicians, will fill the week. These events will be live-streamed.

VCFA is set to host two ensembles this winter. These ensembles will premier pieces written by our MFA in Music Composition students that reflect a widely versatile cross-section of approaches to new music. The program will additionally host showcase events featuring composers, writers, and songwriters.

Guest ensembles include The City of Tomorrow wind quintet featuring Elise Blatchford, Stuart Breczinski, Rane Moore, Nanci Bellmont, and Leander Start and Anna’s Ghost featuring Andy Milne, Ingrid Laubrock (MC ’23), Christie Dashiell, Yoko Reikano Kimaura, Chris Tordini and Kenny Grohowski.
