Graphic Design as Symbolic Counterpower is a visual essay and discursive presentation that examines the social and political role of design in society. It argues against design’s supposed neutrality and objectivity to show how power is deeply embedded within design theory and practice. It offers tactics and strategies for design engagement beyond “social innovation/impact” and towards its emancipatory and revolutionary potential.
