Janicza Bravo is a writer and director based in Los Angeles. Her background is in theater.
Her film work has screened at AFI, Carnegie Hall, SXSW, Sundance and Tribeca. Bravo’s feature film debut LEMON premiered at Sundance and was distributed by Magnolia Pictures. Her second feature, ZOLA, premiered in competition at Sundance and will be distributed by A24 and Sony International. A selection of her short films were acquired by Criterion. Variety named her a director to watch in 2020.
