What happens when you turn the camera on yourself? Join an exclusive screening and Q&A of Jena Burchick’s (F’20) newest, personal and intimate documentary “what it felt like”, which chronicles an autobiographical year in four trimesters through the visceral experience of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum. With emphasis on reproductive justice and the storing and processing of trauma in the body, the film urges viewers to engage in the critical discussion of how we process our own experiences; what we encounter in silence and what we seldom speak truth to. Learn ethical and nurturing strategies for sharing personal stories from concept to dissemination.

Registered and present attendees will receive a link to a private viewing of Jena’s new short film “what it felt like” during the lecture, followed by a Q&A and interactive zoom session.

Join us on March 20 at 7pm ET. Register in advance here or at the link below.
