Blackham & Lutfi Named GDUSA Students to Watch
This installment of the magazine’s annual showcase includes two VCFA students on the rise.
Two students in VCFA’s MFA in Graphic Design program, Jessi Blackham (left) and Dina Lutfi (right), have been identified as 2022 Students to Watch by Graphic Design USA magazine. GDUSA publishes a list of graphic design students to watch every year, and as part of the publication it asks the named students to answer a few questions about themselves and their practice. Both Blackham and Lutfi are in their thesis semester, set to graduate at the April 3–9 residency. Jessi Blackham is an illustrator, graphic designer, and art director based in Utah. Dina Lutfi is a graphic designer, artist, and educator based in Saudi Arabia. They have had exciting careers up to this point, and—as GDUSA wisely notes—their futures are bright.
