Which buildings on campus can I stay in?

Alumni on retreat are housed in the new Crowley House and the recently renovated Frail House.

I want quiet time to work on my art. Which option is best for me?

The Fall or Spring alumni retreat week is best for you.

I want to spend social time with my fellow alumni. Which option is best for me?

One (or more!) of the four alumni retreat weekends is best for you.

How long are alumni retreat weeks?

Alumni retreat weeks are seven days long, running Monday to Sunday.

How long are alumni retreat weekends?

Alumni retreat weekends are three days long, running Friday to Monday.

What time is check in?

Check in starts at 10 am on Monday for retreat weeks and at 10 am on Friday for retreat weekends. Early check in is not permitted.

What time is check out?

Check out is by 4 pm on Sunday for retreat weeks and by 10 am on Monday for retreat weekends. Late check out is not permitted.

Are meals included in my stay?

There is no provision of meals or food and no meal plan. Alumni on retreat may make use of the common kitchen facilities and may dine in the NECI Cafeteria in Dewey Hall, at their own expense, when it is open. The schedule for the NECI Cafeteria varies depending on NECI’s academic schedule.

How much do the retreats cost?

The cost is $150 for alumni retreat weekends and $300 for alumni retreat weeks. There are no discounts for shorter stays.

Can I bring my children, pets, or other guests?

This benefit is available for VCFA alumni only. No spouses, partners, or guests are allowed, unless they are alumni as well. (Alumni couples reserving space must each pay the full fee and may reserve one room or two.) Children and pets are not allowed.

What is the cancellation policy?

Reservations must be canceled two weeks in advance in order to receive a refund. Refunds will not be issued for reservations canceled less than two weeks before the retreat date.

Can I use my room as a studio or rehearsal space?

No. In consideration of others staying in the building and in order to keep the Crowley Center in beautiful condition.
