W&P Reading Series Continues with Lesley Nneka Arimah & Diana Goetsch
Lesley Nneka Arimah and Diana Goetsch to read in the College Hall Chapel on October 26th, 5:30pm
The MFA in Writing & Publishing program is pleased to host award-winning fiction writer Lesley Nneka Arimah, and acclaimed poet Diana Goetsch for the third installment of our reading series.
The reading is free and open to the public. It will take place from 5:30-6:30pm on October 26 in the College Hall Chapel, followed by a reception and book signing with the authors. Drinks for sale downstairs in Café Anna.
About the Readers:
Lesley Nneka Arimah has been a finalist for a National Magazine Award and the Caine Prize, and a winner of the African Commonwealth Short Story Prize and an O. Henry Award, and other honors. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Harper’s, and GRANTA and has received support from The Elizabeth George Foundation, The Jerome Foundation, and MacDowell, among others.
Diana Goetsch is the author of eight poetry collections, including In America (2017, Rattle) and Nameless Boy (2015, Orchises Press). Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, Poetry, Gettysburg Review, The Iowa Review, Best American Poetry, and The Pushcart Prize anthology. She has also published extensively as a nonfiction writer and columnist in The New Yorker, The LA Times, the Chicago Tribune, and elsewhere. From 2015-16, she wrote the “Life in Transition” column for The American Scholar, a series of 31 essays chronicling trans and gender issues in America.
