Profile

Una Lee is a graphic designer, community-led design facilitator, and community organizer.

She is the creative director of And Also Too, a design studio for social justice visionaries. She has worked with and within communities across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico to draw on the brilliance, wisdom, and creativity of those directly affected by urgent social issues. The tools and images that have been co-created through these processes have contributed to progressive legislative and policy victories, rallied international support, received coverage from major media outlets and garnered numerous awards.

Una is an organizer of the Design Justice Network, which seeks to use design as a tool for collective liberation while making design more equitable. She is also an advocate for consentful technology—building and using applications and networks in ways that are inherently protective of anyone who will be impacted by them. Una lives in Johnson, Vermont.
