Intelligent, a higher-education research organization, placed VCFA the #1 low-residency graphic design program and #5 overall on a list that includes Maryland Institute College of Art, Savannah College of Art and Design, and others. The list was distilled from 171 universities and colleges reviewed based on criteria of “cost, coursework, reputation, flexibility, and faculty.” The accompanying article notes, “There will be competition for [graphic design] jobs, which is why earning a degree, building a strong portfolio, and networking through your university will be key to a successful graphic design career.”
