This Tuesday, Dec. 8, acclaimed author and current VCFA trustee M.T. Anderson will speak about his latest book, Symphony for the City of the Dead, in the College Hall Gallery. Anderson, who is also a former VCFA faculty member, is a nationally celebrated writer who has won the National Book Award. Symphony was also on the 2015 shortlist for the National Book Award. Along with Anderson’s reading, a string quartet comprised of members of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra will perform Shostakovich’s 8th Quartet.
