MFA in Writing faculty member Tomás Q. Morín was interviewed live on Vermont Public Radio on November 5, 2021, about his new book of poetry, Machete (Knopf, 2021). As VPR notes, the book “addresses race and police brutality, but is also full of wit and joy,” and Vermont Edition co-host and senior producer Mikaela Lefrak welcomes Morín to discuss the poems with his characteristic eloquence and wisdom. The interview also covers Morín’s teaching at VCFA and his connections to Vermont. Listen now on the VPR website.

Morín also was featured in the “Faculty View” section of the 2021 VCFA alumnx magazine, in residence. You can read that article and more in the magazine’s digital version here.

You can purchase Machete from your local bookstore or online at Penguin Random House.
