VCFA announces upcoming "Protest Art and the Art of Protest: An Assembly"

Entitled “Protest Art and the Art of Protest: An Assembly,” this gathering at VCFA’s Montpelier, Vt. campus will be a multi-disciplinary exploration of the form, content, purpose, and history of protest art. “Protest Art and the Art of Protest: An Assembly” is scheduled for August 18-21, 2017.

MFA in Visual Art offers free portfolio review for artists

Julianna Baggott named Faculty Director for MFA in Writing & Publishing program

Many of us in the writing community have been in awe of Julianna for her incredible range and singular talent as an author. She is not only an amazing novelist who writes for adults and children, but also an accomplished essayist and poet. Few people I have met know more about the publishing industry than Julianna.

MAT in Art & Design Education announces new VCFA Teach Scholarship

Graduating Student Exhibition - VCFA Gallery

  • Tuesday, January 31 – Friday, February 3. Hours: 9am-6pm. Gallery may be closed for critiques and reviews as determined by the program.
  • Opening: Monday, January 30, 8-9:30pm, VCFA Gallery

The daily exhibitions are free and open to the public most days. Please be considerate of critique groups and closures as needed for academic purposes.

Special readings and events planned for MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults residency

Kekla MagoonOn Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 16), faculty member and alumna Kekla Magoon (’05) will discuss her book X: A Novel. Fellow faculty member Cynthia Leitich Smith will interview Kekla starting at 10 a.m. in the College Hall Chapel.
