"Eridania" by Andrew Boscardin ('17)

Eridania is believed to have been a colossal lake on ancient Mars, with a surface area that once spanned 1.1 million square kilometers.

Were there chaotic and violent tsunamis, formed by plummeting asteroids during the Late Heavy Bombardment? Was the lake surrounded by tranquil beaches? Was there life beneath the depths? The waters of Eridania and any life they contained have been ghosts now for billions of years, and their secrets are buried deep in the Martian clay.
