Summer Studio Intensives

Tuition-Free, application-based* summer studio courses for rising 8th-12th grade students.

A Studio Intensives student is a curious, motivated, and adventurous middle school/high school student interested in developing their creative portfolio, learning new techniques, and exploring ways to express their personal and social visions.

These camps emphasize experimentation, personal expression, and conceptual content development.

Traditional Media

The MS/HS portfolio studio camp in Traditional Media focuses on traditional media, with an emphasis on materials exploration and content development. Campers will have the opportunity to explore painting, printmaking, drawing, street art and sculpture.

Digital Media & Design Methods

In this exciting and dynamic studio camp, students will be given the opportunity to explore experimental and experiential methods in design thinking and making while discovering the most effective media for communicating messages. Through the use of Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign students will create compelling designs within two- three- and/or four-dimensions.

Exhibition date for both camps is August 4, 2018.

*Application requirements: Application Part I, and Application Part II: images of your own artwork (any media/materials, does not need to be digital media for Digital Media application), statement of interest, and recommendation from current art teacher.

On-campus housing is not available to Intensives participants.
