Profile

Dave Peacock is a designer and educator based in Seattle, Washington.

He is a creative director at Merkle (www.merkle.com), a global agency focused on customer experience transformation. He enjoys creating conceptual, thought-provoking design, crafting highly-articulated design systems, and mentoring designers across all stages of their careers. His current and former clients include General Motors, Under Armour, Panasonic, Funko Toys, Fender, Gevalia Coffee, Pendleton Woolen Mills, and Duluth Trading Company.

Dave serves as faculty at Vermont College of Fine Arts, where he teaches in the Graphic Design MFA program. Dave has also taught courses at Seattle Pacific University and Cornish College of the Arts. An active member of the design education community, he previously served a five-year term as Education Director for the Seattle chapter of AIGA.  Dave has exhibited nationally and internationally, and his work has been recognized by Type Directors Club, Communication Arts, Graphic Design USA, AIGA, The ADDY Awards, Print, HOW, The Northwest Emmy Awards and The Seattle Show. He writes regularly on design and education topics, and his work has been published by Bloomsbury, Routledge, Wiley, and the Berlin-based arts magazine Slanted.

A Colorado native, Dave holds an MFA in Visual Communication Design from the University of Washington and a BFA from the University of Utah.
