Ruben Quesada (MFA, PhD) is the author of Revelations, Next Extinct Mammal, and Exiled from the Throne of Night: Selected Translations of Luis Cernuda. His writing appears in Best American Poetry, Harvard Review, American Poetry Review, and elsewhere. Quesada’s teaching focuses on literary translation, poetry, and cultural theory.

Quesada is the founder of the Latinx Writers Caucus, an organization concerned with the education, equity, and inclusion of Latinx writers in the literary and publishing community. He is co-editing an anthology of essays on Latinx poetry with Natalie Scenters-Zapico, slated for publication by University of New Mexico Press.

Currently, Quesada is a blogger of contemporary poetry and poetics for The Kenyon Review and serves on the Board of the National Book Critics Circle. He lives in Chicago.
