Profile
Kelly M. Gross, PhD, is a faculty member of the MA program at VCFA and Assistant Professor of Art Education at Illinois State University.
Her research interests include art and design education, disability issues, social justice, STEAM education, and art and cognition. She is a former special education and art education certified teacher who has taught in New Orleans, New York City, and Chicago. Kelly has published on disability issues in art and design education through the International Encyclopedia of Art Education (2019), Synnyt / Origins, Finnish Studies in Art Education (2018), Learn × Design conference (2015), and the National Art Education Association’s Advisory (Summer 2014). Kelly is co-founder of the Rubber Band Project, which brings STEAM education to the Chicago suburbs: www.rubberbandproject.
