Profile
Deb Noyes writes historical fiction for young adults and adults, narrative nonfiction/biography for middle-grade readers, and picture books. Recent titles include We Are All His Creatures, The Magician and The Spirits, Ten Days a Madwoman, and Tooth and Claw. Forthcoming are A Hopeful Heart: Louisa May Alcott Before Little Women, due out in October 2020, and a graphic novel about the Salem Witch Trials.
Deb has taught writing and literature at Emerson College and elsewhere and was a Visiting Writer in Lesley University’s MFA in Writing for Young People program. She commissioned and edited three young-adult short story anthologies, Gothic!, The Restless Dead, and Sideshow, and has worked in and around publishing for nearly 20 years, during which time she was a regular faculty presenter at retreats, conferences, festivals, and events.
