Profile

Alastair Hayes started his marketing career with Cambridge University Press, where he managed all European academic conferences for seven years. In 2012, he emigrated to New York City to restructure Cambridge’s Special Sales unit. After that, he moved deeper into publishing, managing non-fiction titles at MacMillan and St Martin’s Press and working with New York Times bestselling authors like Michael Bloomberg, Bill Nye, William Shatner, and more.

After the birth of their daughter, Hayes and his wife decided to to shift gears, get out of the city, and move to Vermont in 2017. The college’s unique entrepreneurial and welcoming atmosphere immediately drew him to VCFA.

When he’s not in the office, you can find him out on the lake, up on a mountain, or on the tennis court.
