Profile

Aidan Sammis (he/him) is the Assistant Director of the MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults Program. After earning a BA in Linguistics from Marlboro College, working in Vermont libraries for several years sparked his curiosity about the world of children’s literature. He followed that thread to VCFA in 2015, beginning as the Program Assistant for WCYA. In his current role, he draws on his information management background to support students and faculty of the program, and serves on committees supporting the diversity, equity, and inclusion work of the college.

In addition to writing fiction, he has explored his interest in storytelling through the forms of dance and theater. He enjoys hiking, gardening, and solving word puzzles with his husband.
