Rick Myers

Rick Myers (born Manchester, England) lives and works in Easthampton, Massachusetts. 

Solo exhibitions include: The Poetry Library and The Book Library at the Courtauld Institute, London (upcoming); Printed Matter, New York; White Columns, New York; Corner College, Zurich; No. 12 Gallery, Tokyo. Group exhibitions include: ‘Itself Not So’ curated by Rachel Valinsky, Lisa Cooley, New York; ‘Visual Dialogues 2013’ Onassis Cultural Centre, Athens; ‘Memoirs of a Shy Pornographer’ curated by James Hoff and Børre Sæthre, Tidens Krav, Oslo; ‘Poetical Works from the Library and Archive 1908-2008’, Library at Tate Britain. Performances include; ‘A Bullet for Buñuel’, MoMA Library, New York; ‘Mirror Feedback Section’, NY Art Book Fair, MoMA PS1. Myers was awarded the ‘Printed Matter Award for Artists’ in 2011. His artist's books are held in special collections such as: MoMA NY; The Library of Congress; Harvard University; Stanford University; Kunsthaus Zurich; Tate Britain.

Myers is editor and publisher of the press, Edition Muta. From 1996 to 2006 he designed sleeve artwork for more than 100 music releases and has since founded the art-direction and design office, Art-Utility.
