Jensen Beach is a writer and translator living in Vermont with his family.
He holds degrees from the Program for Poets and Writers at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Stockholm University. He is the author of two collections of short fiction, Swallowed by the Cold (Graywolf) and For out of the Heart Proceed (Dzanc). He’s currently working on two translation projects, both collections of short fiction by Åsa Foster. His own work has been published in A Public Space, Kenyon Review Online, Spartan, Cincinnati Review, Tin House, American Short Fiction, N+1, The Paris Review, and the New Yorker. He teaches in the BFA program at Johnson State College, where he is fiction editor at Green Mountains Review. Since 2005, he’s been an editor at Hobart, where he recently cofounded and coedits Hobart Handbooks.
