WCYA student honored as Lee & Low New Visions Award finalist

Congratulations to Jiton Davidson, whose novel Sun-Kadelic: An Afro-Futuristic, Historical Fiction has been named a finalist for the 2017 Lee & Low New Visions Award! Jiton is currently a student in the MFA in Writing for Children & Young Adults Program.

Jiton DavidsonThe New Visions Award is given for a middle-grade or young adult novel by a writer of color who has not previously published work for readers in that age range. This year, two winners and three finalists were selected. To read more about the award and honorees, visit the award page.
