Alan Cumyn Receives Vicky Metcalf Award

Writing for Children & Young Adults Faculty Chair Alan Cumyn has been honored with the Vicky Metcalf Award for Literature for Young People by the Writers’ Trust of Canada.

Author of the award-winning Owen Skye children’s series and several novels for adults and young adults, Cumyn’s latest young adult novel is Hot Pterodactyl Boyfriend (Atheneum, 2016).
