VCFA & upstreet Magazine Announce The upstreet Scholarship Fund

Vermont College of Fine Arts and Vivian Dorsel, '06 W, founder and publisher of upstreet Magazine, announced in March the creation of the upstreet Scholarship Fund, a need-based grant for writers attending the MFA in Writing program. The $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to up to two students annually.

Kim Darling, '10 VA, Uncovers the Power of Art as Activism

Kim Darling, '10 VA, a visual artist and educator based in Vermont, understands education to be a cooperative artistic journey, with teacher and student as equal participants. On a daily basis, Darling, an art instructor at St. Johnsbury Academy, shows her commitment to helping young artists develop vision and voice. Recently, she took this commitment to a new level in using art—printmaking and drawing, specifically—as a conflict resolution tool.
