Delgani String Quartet performs VCFA MFA in Music Composition faculty, alumni, and student music June 2 in NYC

Work by VCFA composers Roger Zahab (Faculty), Damon Honeycutt (’16), and Rikki Bell (’17) will be featured in a performance by the Delgani String Quartet on June 2 at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Chelsea, NYC.

Evan Beigel's (MC '15) composition for string quartet chosen for the 2017 Hear Now Festival of New Music

"Oscillatore," a string quartet Evan composed during his time at VCFA and premiered at the 2014 Summer Residency of the MFA in Music Composition, was chosen in a blind submission for performance at the 2017 Hear Now Music Festival, a Festival of New Music by Contemporary Los Angeles Composers.

The MFA in Music Composition program has announced a free portfolio review for all composers interested in applying to the College or furthering their compositional work.

VCFA welcomes the MFA in Music Composition program to campus February 5-11. Multiple concerts and events featuring music written by VCFA students and performed by world-class musicians fill the week. All events are open—and free of charge—to the public.
