Each residency, our faculty and visiting filmmakers host screenings, lead lectures, and run workshops that discuss the art of filmmaking.
We bring diverse talent to campus to present and discuss emerging trends in filmmaking while remaining committed to screening work with directors, producers, and editors on hand.
For four nights during residency, the MFA in Film program hosts screenings followed by Q&As with directors at the Savoy Theater, a charming little art-house cinema on Main Street in Montpelier. Oftentimes, they follow-up their screenings with a lecture or workshop. These events are what drive our residencies.
