Art & Design Studio Intensives: Summer 2017

Tuition-Free, application-based* summer studio courses for rising 8th-12th grade students.

A Studio Intensives student is a curious, motivated, and adventurous middle school/high school student interested in developing their creative portfolio, learning new techniques, and exploring ways to express their personal and social visions.

These camps emphasize experimentation, personal expression, and conceptual content development.

Digital & Design Arts

The MS/HS portfolio studio camp in Digital & Design Arts focuses on video, animation, digital photography, graphics, industrial/product design, installation and spatial practice.

Traditional Visual Art Materials

We are currently only accepting applications for waitlist positions for Traditional Materials Intensive.

The MS/HS portfolio studio camp in Traditional Visual Art Materials focuses on traditional media, with an emphasis on materials exploration and content development. Campers will have the opportunity to explore painting, printmaking, drawing, street art and sculpture.

  • July 31-August 4, 2017
  • 12:30 - 4:30 pm

Culminating Public Exhibitions for both camps is August 5, 2016.

*Application requirements: Application Part I, and Application Part II: images of your own artwork (any media/materials, does not need to be digital media for Digital Media Intensive application), statement of interest, and recommendation from current art teacher.

On-campus housing is not available to Intensives participants.
