Award-Winning Short Film Features Work of David Pinkston, an MFA in Film Graduate

Pinkston is the cinematographer and editor on A WALK IN THE PARK, a film directed by J.B. Edwards.

MFA in Film alum David Pinkston (’15), who was among the first graduating class of film students, has worked on a short film that continues to rack up awards. Pinkston served as cinematographer and editor on the short film A WALK IN THE PARKS, directed by J.B. Edwards and distributed by Humphrey Edwards LLC.

In December 2015, the L.A. Shorts Awards gave A WALK IN THE PARK a Bronze Award for Directing for Edwards, as well as a Bronze Award for Best Leading Actress to the film’s star Rebecca Francis. The film also earned an Honorable Mention the film awards category for best short film.

More recently, the IndiFest Global Film Festival awarded its highest short film honor, an “Award of Merit” to this film saying. A WALK IN THE PARK will continue to be shown at film festivals throughout 2016.
