Art & Design Education graduation and exhibition scheduled for August 5

The first class of students from the College’s Department of Graduate Studies in Art & Design Education will graduate on August 5, 2017!

MAT exhibitionTen students will receive their degrees—six students will earn their Master of Arts in Teaching in Art & Design Education degree (MAT) and four students will receive their Master of Arts in Art & Design Education degree (MA).

Immediately following the graduation, VCFA will host a public exhibition in Alumni Hall from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The exhibition acts as the culmination of the four-week Graduate Studies in Art & Design Education residency. The Exhibition, titled Everything Changed, includes work by our new graduates and current students, including studio work and reflective documentation about their teaching experiences this summer. 

The public will also get to view work by all of the children and teens VCFA’s graduate students have been teaching: T.W. Wood-VCFA collaboration campers, students from the New School of Montpelier, and middle school and high school students enrolled in VCFA’s Digital & Design Arts Studio Intensive and Traditional Materials; Experimental Methods Studio Intensive.
