Susan Spaulding (Montpelier, VT) has spent the past 30 years involved in public protection through medical licensure, continuing medical education, accreditation of medical schools in the United States and Canada and assessment through examination.
Her interest in public protection through licensure began when she was appointed to the Vermont Board of Medical Practice in 1985. She was elected chair of that Board from 1987 to 1993 and President of the Federation of State Medical Boards 1997-1998. Susan is the Director of Appointments to Boards and Commissions for Governor Shumlin. During her free time you can usually find her with a camera in hand or using Photoshop on her computer.
